HopSkip December 2021 Market Analysis:

Data Point #1:

67% of states in the U.S. outperformed their comparable 2019 RevPAR.  Which has increased sharply since November, which amounted to less than 50% of states performing above their 2019 RevPAR levels in November 2021.

What this tells us:

With a 43% increase in states that are meeting their 2019 RevPAR levels, it's encouraging to see the Omicron COVID-19 Variant is not impacting the recovery for groups and meetings.

Data Point #2:

After switching to digital solutions over the last 18 months, 91% of planners are now embracing the importance of having access to their event data.

What this tells us:

Planners are understanding the power of owning and accessing their own event data in efforts to make data-driven decisions about their programs.

Data Point #3:

72% of planners anticipate an increase in spending on meetings technology and support in 2022.

What this tells us:

We believe the rise in anticipated technology spending is made up of two general buckets.  First being, we predict a rise in hybrid meetings will drive some of this spending.  Secondly, planners have seen a huge acceleration in event technology usage over the last 18 months and are beginning to feel more comfortable using technology and have now seen the benefits some of these solutions can provide to their organization and clients.
