What this tells us:
Contract commitments will continue to be a point of concern to planners due to the stress and anxiety the pandemic brought to their events.  Hotels and planners will need to partner together to agree on flexible contract commitments.

~ 77% of travel buyers feel employees are 'somewhat willing' or 'very willing' to travel for business.

What this tells us:

This is 12 percentage points higher than in the May 2021 poll. So, this tells us that companies are feeling the eagerness to get out on the road to get some long-overdue face-to-face business conducted.

~ 49% of companies have resumed non-essential domestic business travel, and an additional 8% have set a date for domestic travel to resume

What this tells us:

Over 70% of companies have either announced a date or are working towards a date to announce the return of non-essential business travel.  As we get closer to the fall months, we are expecting the number of companies to begin non-essential travel to dramatically rise.
