HopSkip September 2021 Market Analysis:

Data Point #1:
68% of employees are “willing” or “very willing” to travel for business in the current environment

What this tells us:

Employees are getting eager to travel again.
Business meetings have primarily been conducted over virtual meetings for the last 18 months and teams are ready to start meeting face-to-face.

Data Point #2:

53% of planners have hosted an in-person event in the last 6 months and 79% of planners are currently planning in-person events

What this tells us:

Planners are moving forward with live events and feel confident that they can host their events safely and responsibly.

Data Point #3:
More than one-third of planners say that engagement is the top challenge when hosting virtual events.

What this tells us:

We're not surprised with this one- driving engagement in virtual events is tough.  Although we do believe virtual and hybrid events are here to stay for specific types of meetings and events.  However, we've learned over the last 18 months that virtual event engagement cannot replicate or replace the engagement and networking you get from your attendees when hosting a live event.
