How were you able to adapt during COVID-19 when the meeting and events industry got disrupted?

I started my meeting planning business in 1997 after working in the Washington, D.C. area for 13 years. Our industry has had to struggle after 9-11 and the crash of 2008. The pandemic is no different as travel and in-person meetings were abruptly cancelled. Planning for challenging periods of time is a necessity for business owners. Also, guiding my clients into virtual meetings and embracing new technology was a growing experience for both parties. I am seeing confidence with hosting in-person meetings again.

This post is part of the HopSkip Planner Spotlight Series where we celebrate the extreme resilience shown by planners across the industry when navigating the turbulent waters that COVID-19 has brought to the meetings and events industry. Keep an eye out as we release more stories like this over the next few months.
