How were you able to adapt during COVID-19 when the meeting and events industry got disrupted?

Roy Edmonson, Chief Executive Officer of The Express Conferences

Fortunately, we are a new company and our first conference wasn’t planned until January ’21. We ended up moving that conference until May ’21. The good news is we were able to book 10 conferences between May ’21 and Feb ’22 where we bring meeting planners and DMOS together across many different market segments. The big advantage we see moving forward is that our conferences max out at 30 planners and no more than 60 DMO’s. I think most people feel much more comfortable in a setting of less than 100 attendees as we move forward.

This post is part of the HopSkip Planner Spotlight Series where we celebrate the positivity and optimism shown by planners across the industry when navigating the turbulent waters that COVID-19 has brought the meetings and events industry.   Keep an eye out as we release more stories like this over the next few months.
