Name: Danielle Bauer

Company Name: Coin Laundry Association

Job Title: Director of Membership & Education

Years of Experience: 20+

How were you able to adapt during COVID-19 when the meeting and events industry got disrupted?

Like so many other associations, we converted all events to virtual events. During the beginning of COVID, we were holding 4 events/month with one being an informal social networking event. Others were more educational in format.

As a planner, what was the number one thing you learned over the past year?

To be flexible and creative.

Is there anything you are changing in your planning process moving forward as a result of the pandemic?

We are now holding both virtual and F2F events moving forward. The F2F events provide a better format for networking, but the virtual events give more members an opportunity to learn best practices from our programs.
