Name: Liz King Caruso

Company Name: techsytalk, Inc.

Job Title: CEO

Years of Experience: 15

How do you think you are positioned, after months of persevering with the pandemic, to take advantage of our new and disrupted meetings/events landscape?

We were very lucky because we were doing virtual + hybrid events long before the COVID-19 pandemic. That being said, we've also been REALLY active in the last 18+ months working with clients and connecting with industry peers so we now are really well positioned to help our clients navigate the return to in-person and hybrid events.

As our community moves forward with planning in person meetings, what new technologies or processes are you implementing that you may have not looked at before?

It's all about engagement - how do we use technology to make a meaningful and memorable experience for our attendees? It's in this area that we're investing a lot of time, thought and energy!

As we see virtual meetings transition back to face to face, hybrid meetings are beginning to be the vehicle to return to normalcy. What are your thoughts on hybrid meetings versus traditional fully in person meetings?

Hybrid has always been a really powerful tool for event organizers, but often overlooked. My hope is that people who have seen the power of virtual over the past year will now be excited about retaining all the benefits of virtual while bringing back so much of what we love about in-person.

In your opinion, what do you think the biggest value for your attendees is in regards to returning to live events?

It's all about the relationships. While content can be shared easily online, there's nothing like the handshakes and hugs of in-person so we're really excited to see community come back in-person!

As the pandemic fades away and we return to face-to-face events what do you hope changes, either for planners or hoteliers, in the traditional RFP and proposal process as a result of all of the learnings from the last 20+ months?

I'd love to see technology take a more forward-facing role in our RFP process - to make it more seamless, but also as a component of our events!
