What this tells us:

These stellar occupancy numbers point to a strong start for summer travel.  We expect this strong start to initially be made up of mostly leisure travel but as the fall months roll around we believe that will quickly turn to business travel.

~ 80% of planners will be holding a live event in 2021

What this tells us:
Confidence continues to rise in the planner community with feeling more comfortable holding live events.

~ Over 50% of planners booking live events right now are either association/non-profits or third party planners

who is booking new events

Source: NorthStar Meetings Group Pulse Survey

What this tells us:

Not surprised to see the majority of planners who are booking live events right now fall into the association/non-profit and third party planner segment of the industry.  From what we've seen, these folks are much less likely to be planning 100% virtual events moving forward.
